August 6, Zu Qun of the Nanjing Fiberglass Research & Design Institute visited our company with a team of specialists in materials science, testing technology, process optimization and related fields. The visit focused on an in-depth discussion of our independently developed Fiber Diameter Intelligent Reporting System, particularly its application to detecting voids in glass fibers.

In the meeting room, our technical team used the online experience center on our website to give Zu Qun’s team a detailed introduction to the Glass Fiber Diameter Intelligent Reporting System and our other automated diameter inspection products for reinforcing fibers. Starting with the original motivation for developing the system—overcoming the efficiency and precision bottlenecks of traditional glass fiber inspection—the team explained every aspect in detail: the core technical architecture, including advanced image recognition algorithms and high-precision sensor technology, and how the system is applied throughout glass fiber production and inspection, The online experience center clearly presents inspection data and images. Details such as fiber morphology and changes in diameter can be seen at a glance, demonstrating the system’s high precision and efficiency and prompting lively discussion.

The discussions then continued at the R&D center. Zu Qun’s team observed the equipment in operation at close range and discussed automated glass fiber inspection with our engineers, including practical operation, data processing and result analysis. Participants exchanged experience and ideas on industry challenges, including the limitations of traditional inspection methods and the effects of voids on glass fiber performance. These discussions explored potential system improvements and opportunities to expand its industrial applications.
Since its establishment in 1964, the Nanjing Fiberglass Research & Design Institute has been a source and disseminator of technology for China’s glass fiber industry, participating in and witnessing its growth from inception to increasing strength. Its research achievements have been widely used in major national engineering projects and key equipment, playing an important role in aerospace, environmental protection, energy and batteries, and other critical fields. As a leading developer of industry standards, the institute has led the drafting and revision of more than 200 international, national and industry standards in glass fibers, carbon fibers and thermal insulation materials, giving it a strong voice in the industry. Its decision to exchange ideas and explore cooperation with our company recognizes our professional expertise in this field and reflects our position and influence in the industry. We look forward to working together and contributing further to its development.
